Electrically Conducting Polymers.

Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to describe some of the physics and chemistry of highly conducting polymer systems ranging from the inorganic (SN)x to organic materials such s (CH)x, polypyrrole and the polyphenylenes (17). It would be very difficult in a single chapter to adequately review the already extensive literature on these materials. Presented is a coherent overview of the current status of highly conductive polymers with reference to several review articles for a more extensive survey of the literature.
