Environmental Effects on Materials for Space Applications.

Abstract

In the fall of 1982 the AGARD Structures and Materials Panel convened a meeting of specialists entitled 'Environmental Effects on Materials for Space Applications'. The meeting heard papers on and discussed general requirements and related design philosophies, environment and environmental effects, properties of interest, and tests, with the aim of establishing the current state-of-the-art and encouraging relevant future research. This publication documents the papers presented at that meeting together with summaries of the subsequent discussions. (Author)
