Resonance Fluorescence of Many Interacting Adatoms at a Metal Surface.

Abstract

A model of resonance fluorescence of a laser-driven two-level atom near a metal surface is reviewed, and results are shown in the weak-field limit for the population inversion and the power spectrum. Extension of the model to interacting adatoms is dicussed in terms of phonon-induced level broadening and adatom migration. (Author)
