Reliability of Navigation Systems.

Abstract

This report examines reliability as it relates to navigation systems in the National Airspace System. Reliability measures are defined and are applied to VOR, Omega, LORAN-C, and GPS. The reliability equations and the system descriptions are basic in nature and the fundamental concepts are illustrated by calculations. (Author)
