A Training Effectiveness Analysis of Standard Training Techniques Versus a Typing Trainer.

Abstract

In 1981, work was begun to provide an evaluation of training effectiveness analysis of standard typing techniques versus a typing trainer at the US Army Signal Center, Ft Gordon, GA and the 35th Signal Brigade (CORPS) (Airborne) Fort Bragg, NC. The evaluation concentrates on: comparing the teletypewriter skill performance of students trained by the conventional classroom approach with that of students trained in a typing trainer and measure of student's attitudes toward the use of a typing trainer because of its self-paced programing and immediate feedback capability.
