Training Report. Aircraft Armament Systems Specialty AFS 462X0.

Abstract

This report provides occupational survey data for use in validating or modifying current aircraft Armament Systems training documents and programs involving first-enlistment 462X0 personnel. Job inventory booklets were administered to Aircraft Armament Systems personnel worldwide. Survey data highlighted some basic functions of apprentice 462X0 personnel appropriate for resident course training. In addition, while the trend in the data indicated that the channelized training system works, there were considerable deviations. Although the 462X0 specialty training standard provides good coverage of most functions, training managers should consider a thorough review of aircraft-specific data to ensure the most appropriate training methods are used when preparing individuals for their jobs.
