Decompression Mechanisms and Improved Decompression Safety and Endurance to 300 Ft.

Abstract

This contract conducted theoretical and experimental studies of decompression mechanisms and decompression procedures. Bubble formation was studied in rats and humans and inert gas exchange was studied in humans. Decompression schedule calculation methods were developed based upon bubble theory. These methods were used to test the effects of exercise, oxygen, and inert gas during human decompression trials.
