Fort Hood Geographic Information System: Pilot System Development and User Instructions.

Abstract

This report describes the development of a pilot study plan for a Geographic Information System for Fort Hood, TX. This pilot system is designed to interface with the Environmental Technical Information System developed by the U.S. Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory. Specific descriptions are given of the system concept, operation and design, data sources (including the use of LandSat imagery), and hardware and software components. Version II of this system, which provides improved capabilities, is also described.
