Scattering of Waves by Irregularities in Periodic Discrete Lattice Spaces. 2. Calculations.

Abstract

The general formalism for the exact scattering of a scalar wave from N scatterers on a discrete lattice is reviewed. The interpretation of the exact solution in terms of approximation techniques is given and the expression for the scattering cross sections is derived. The expressions necessary for the calculation of the lattice Greens function are discussed and a number of asymmetric scattering configurations are considered. (Author)
