Indexing for Information Retrieval in the Integrated Library System.

Abstract

This report reviews alternative indexing schemes for retrieval of bibliographic information in several current automated systems, considers others proposed in meetings held among librarians and developers of the Integrated Library System, and recommends indexing schemes which will serve both librarians and library patrons.
