A Minimum Recruiting Cost Function for Male High School Graduates.

Abstract

In this paper we derive a cost function which specifies the minimum cost to the Navy of the recruiters and advertising necessary to attract different numbers of non-prior service male recruits who are high school graduates. This cost function is derived from a data base and a preliminary model of HSG recruit supply which were developed by Larry Goldberg at CNA for the Navy Enlisted Supply Study.
