Synthesis and Properties of Trisubstituted Trinitrobenzenes. TATB Analogs.

Abstract

A series of trisubstituted trinitrobenzene derivatives structurally related to tatb, with diversified physical properties, were synthesized and evaluated with respect to stability, impact sensitivity, and density. Several compounds showed improved sensitivity-performance characteristics relative to standard explosives.
