Test and Evaluation of Method 2, GAU-8 30mm Ammunition Containers

Abstract

On 10 Jan 83, testing commenced on a sealed version of the GAU-8 30mm ammunition container, hereafter designated the CNU-383. Testing concluded on 24 Mar 83. The CNU-383 passed all the required tests for qualification; however, some deficiencies affecting container usability were detected. Design changes were recommended to correct these problems and should be incorporated into the container design prior to delivery.
