Optimization of Skill Retention in the U.S. Army through Initial Training Analysis and Design. Volume 1.

Abstract

This report summarizes the results of a test of the capability of MGA software to estimate training and retention outcomes from a small sample of first trial data. There were three test objectives: (1) test the ability of STAR software to estimate soldier end-of-course scores; (2) to test the ability of STAR to forecast skill decay over time; and, (3) to determine the frequency of training required to sustain skill.
