Optimization of Skill Retention in the U. S. Army through Initial Training Analysis and Design: Protype Skill Sustainment Guide. Annex.

Abstract

This report summarizes the results of a test of the capability of MGA software to estimate training and retention outcomes from a small sample of first trial data. There were three test objectives: 1) test the ability of STAR software to estimate soldier end-of-course scores; 2) to test the ability of STAR to forecast skill decay over time; and, 3) to determine the frequency of training required to sustain skill.
