Labor Market Availability for U.S. Navy Civilian Professionals in the 1980's.

Abstract

This paper focuses on estimating the external labor market availabilities of professionals for U.S. Navy civilian jobs. An 1980 census update is provided for fourteen occupational areas. A combination of inputs are used including the 1980 Census EEO Special File, 1972-1980 Current Population Surveys (CPS's), and internal Navy data. Projections through the use of a reservation wage model are provided for 1988 and 1990. (Author)
