Colorado River Basin Hover Dam - Review of Flood Control Regulation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and select the best water control plan for flood control operation of Hoover Dam. The study's scope includes the lower Colorado River flood plain below Hoover Dam including locations in the US and in Mexico, as well as such diverse interests as power markets in Arizona, Nevada, Southern California, Southern Utah, and Western New Mexico; irrigation districts in Arizona and California; municipal water supplies for Las Vegas, Nevada, also for Los Angeles, San Diego, and other cities in Southern California; and recreation facilities in all bordering states.
