Proceedings of Asilomar Conference on Fire and Blast Effects of Nuclear Weapons (17th), held at the Asilomar Conference Center, Pacific Grove, California, on May 30-June 3, 1983

Abstract

This report summarizes the proceedings of the 17th Asilomar Conference on Fire and Blast Effects of Nuclear Weapons. The conference, sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and organized by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL, was held from May 30 through June 3, 1983 at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, California. The objective of the 1983 conference was to provide for the technical exchange of ideas relating to the science and technology of the immediate effects of nuclear weapon explosions. This exchange was accomplished through the presentation of technical papers, as well as through formal group discussions on pertinent topics.
