Some Remarks on the Creeping Flow of the Second Grade Fluid.

Abstract

Tanner proved that the Stokes flow solution for the plane flow of the Newtonian fluid is also a solution for the steady plane creeping flow of an incompressible homogeneous fluid of second grade. This paper investigates sufficient conditions under which the above theorem can be extended to three dimensional flows. Also investigated are certain related questions. (Author)
