The Chief of Naval Education and Training Cumulative Cost System (CCCS) Users Manual.

Abstract

This report describes the CNET(Chief of Naval Education and Training) Cumulative Cost System (CCCS) which is used to determine the direct, and indirect costs associated with conducting training. A step by step user's guide is provided. The CCCS uses one primary file and several related files that are shared with other systems. The Cumulative Master File (CMF) contains a record for every cost account used in the NAVEDTRACOM. There are approximately 20,000 records in the file. The file is updated monthly and contains monthly cost data. Twenty-one programs make up the CCCS. These programs perform such functions as sorting, printing, and updating CMF records. The system is designed to be highly interactive and user oriented, thus, numerous messages and instructions are provided throughout to aid the user. All programs are written in WANG VS BASIC and file indexing is provided by the WANG VS Data Management System (DMS). The CCCS is currently operational on a WANG VS 100 computer with a variety of disks, workstations, and printers. (Author)
