Low Rate Transmission of Video Signals Using Adaptive Delta Modulation.

Abstract

This report describes packet switched voice operation in packet switched networks. The effect of delay in packet reception is considered. A simulation system is described. DSI techniques are discussed as are silence detection algorithms. The second part of this report describes voice modem, speech waveform identification using delta modulation. The results enable digital transmission at significantly reduced rates. (Author)
