This report is a result entitled: Conference on Biological Actions and Medical Applications of Dimethyl Sulfoxide, held September 15-17, 1982. Topics covered include toxicological update of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO); biochemical and immunological mechanisms of DMSO; clinical effects of DMSO in organ systems; effects of DMSO on vascular mechanisms, cellular function, and cellular metabolism; and treatment with DMSO in trauma of the central nervous system.
