Non-LTE Radiation from an Argon Seeded Microballoon Implosion II.

Abstract

The results of three LASNEX simulations of Argon seeded DT filled microballoon implosions in which the details of the hot electron preheat have been varied are post analyzed with a full collisional radiative model. The resulting simulated spectra are compared. A similar calculation is performed on a pure argon microballoon implosion. Some features of the average atom model used by LASNEX are compared to those calculated by the collisional radiative model. (Author)
