Papers Selected for Presentation at the International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (16th) Held at Buenos Aires, Argentina on 2-9 June 1982. Volume 1.

Abstract

This volume contains papers accepted for presentation at the Sixteenth International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment, originally scheduled to be held from 2 to 9 June 1982, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The program for this symposium was organized jointly by the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) and the Argentine Comision Nacional de Investigaciones Espaciales (CNIE) as a part of a continuing series documenting global activities in the field of remote sensing. These meetings are intended to promote increased international cooperation in research, development, and application of this technology, and to stimulate an exchange of information on all aspects of this multidisciplinary field through the presentation of reports on work planned, in progress, or completed. Scientific and technical papers contained herein include those concerned with the development of remote sensing techniques and methodology, as well as those dealing primarily with the effective utilization of this technology in various application areas such as agriculture, geology, hydrology, land and cultural resources, meteorology and oceanography.
