Arctic Personnel Effects

Abstract

This document provides background information on the physiological effects of extreme cold on the human body. A brief overview of some of the physiological problems of operation in a cold environment and the procedures used to overcome these problems are provided along with the detailed techniques and requirements for tests involving the effects of a cold environment on personnel.
