Validation of Computer Program CABUOY for Vertical Oscillation of Sonobuoy Suspensions.

Abstract

A computer program CABUOY was developed to model the dynamic mechanical performance of a sonobuoy system in the ocean wave and current environment. A series of vertical oscillation tests were performed in quiescent water to determine the validity of the computer predictions of the system motion. The CABUOY program was shown to be an accurate simulation of a vertically oscillating suspension system. (Author)
