Pilot Behavior Models for LSO (Landing Signal Officer) Training Systems.

Abstract

This report promulgates results of a project to develop pilot/aircraft behavior models for an automated LSO training system. Data supporting the identification of critical LSO task conditions were collected through literature search, accident report review and survey of the LSO community. Results of data collecltion and their implications to model development are presented. Pilot/aircraft models, a listing of key LSO learning concepts and a functional design for the models are included. An extenisve bibliography is also included. (Author)
