Exact and Finite-Element Analysis of Laminated Shells.

Abstract

The two parts of the report deal with the exact solutions of the linear theory and finite-element analysis of the geometrically nonlinear (i.e. the von Karman) theory of laminated, doubly-curved, shells, respectively. Numerical results are presented for both plates and shells. The results should serve as references for future investigations. (Author)
