Technical Library Acquisitions: Review and Analysis.

Abstract

A study was conducted to review existing procedures, analyze problems, review alternatives and propose solutions relative to acquisitions at the DTIC Library. The expansion of existing OCLC services, the improvement of available equipment and streamlining procedures at DTIC and DASC purchasing offices are proposed as possible solutions. In a broader context this report may also serve other technical libraries as a case study in analyzing small library acquisitions problems. (Author)
