Effective Data (E-DATE) Model Documentation. Volume 3. Computer Operation Manual.

Abstract

A set of documentation has been developed for the Effective Data (E-DATE) Model following DOD documentation standards (DOD 7935.1-S). Four types of documentation were generated as follows: A functional description, a user's manual, a computer operation manual, and a program maintenance manual (including system/subscription and program specifications into a single volume). The remaining documentation types described in the DOD standards were not considered applicable. The objective of this Computer Operation Manual for the Effective Date Model (E-DATE) is to provide the computer operations personnel with a detailed operational description of the system and its associated environment. The focus of this manual has been directed only to those aspects of the system with which operations personnel will be concerned during the performance of their duties.
