Reliability Studies of Ceramic Capacitors.

Abstract

This research goal is to determine the parameters that lead to intrinsic and extrinsic failure of ceramic capacitors. To achieve this goal, electrical measurements and microstructural evaluations on both commercial and laboratory prepared specimens with the following test methods were made: destructive microstructural evaluation, I-V measurements in both low voltage and degradation field regions, and thermally stimulated polarization and depolarization current measurements.
