Procedures for Static and Constant-Rate Tests on a Single-Degree-of-Freedom (SDF) Strapdown Gyroscope.

Abstract

Test procedures for testing a rate-integrating, Single-Degree-of-Freedom strapdown gyroscope are presented. Tests are restricted to static and constant-rate modes in both inertial reference servo and analog-torque-to-balance configurations. Alignment procedures and adopted sign conventions are discussed. Temperature control considerations are described. (Author)
