Fabrication and Evaluation of Chirped Grating Lenses in Lithium Niobate Waveguides.

Abstract

Theoretical methods have been formulated for the design and analysis of chirped grating lenses on planar optical waveguides. Various fabrication techniques such as deposition of high index titanium dioxide films and reactive ion milling of LiNb03 have been developed to create low-loss phase shift pads on Ti-indifussed LiNb03 waveguides.
