Multi-Element X-Ray Shields for Spacecraft

Abstract

Spacecraft electronics must be shielded against the x-rays of a distant nuclear weapon. The optimum shielding material is a mixture of heavy elements. Rads(Si) are calculated for some materials and thicknesses.
