Improving the Selection, Classification, and Utilization of Army Enlisted Personnel: Technical Appendix to the Annual Report

Abstract

This research note describes in detail research performed during the first year of a project to develop a complete personnel system for selecting and classifying all entry level enlisted personnel. Its purpose is to document, in the context of the annual report, a variety of technical papers associated with the project. In general, the first year's activities have been taken up by an intensive period of detailed planning, briefing advisory groups, preparing initial troop requests, and beginning comprehensive predictor and criterion development that will be the basis for later validation work. Research reports associated with the work reported are included.
