Error Analysis of Vapor Pressure Measurements

Abstract

This report describes a method for an a posteriori estimation of measurement accuracy simultaneously with the determination of model parameters. The method is applied to vapor pressure measurements for which it determines Antoine parameters and analyzes pressure as well as temperature inaccuracies. Tests of the method on simulated data indicate that for typical vapor pressure data it yields error estimates with reasonable accuracy if more than 50 observations per fitted curve are available.
