A Study of Three Blast Suppressants for Personnel Protection

Abstract

A study has been made of three materials as blast suppressants. Two materials, vermiculite and aqueous foam, have been shown to reduce pressure levels significantly. From the results it is possible to estimate the amount of suppressant necessary to reduce the pressure to a specified level.
