Current and Temperature Data from Instrument Moorings in Fram Strait during MIZEX 83.

Abstract

The purpose of the MIZEX 83 field program in mesoscale oceanography was to monitor mesoscale variability in Fram Strait. An array of instruments was moored in open water near the center of Fram Strait to assist in accomplishing this goal. Current, temperature and pressure measurements frm this array are plotted against time. Simple statistics and power spectra for these data are also presented. (Author)
