Preliminary Design for HARPOON Shipboard Command-Launch Control Set Simulation.

Abstract

To realize the full performance capabilities of the Block 1C version of the surface-launched HARPOON cruise missile, modifications have been directed on the HARPOON Ship Command-Launch Control Set (HSCLCS), AN/SWG-1(V). The purpose of this thesis is to begin the design of modules for a simulation model which meets the specification requirements of the HSCLCS. These specifications are derived from stated U.S. Navy requirements, some additional features proposed by the author, and features proposed in a previous thesis. The simulation model can then be used for testing and evaluating the proposed modifications and for training purposes. (Author)
