Accounting and Finance Career Ladders AFSCs 67231, 67232A, 67232B, 67251, 67252, 67273, 67299, and 67200. Volume 1.

Abstract

This is a report of an occupational analysis of the Accounting and Finance career ladders, AFS 672XX, completed by the Occupational Analysis Branch in December 1983. The Branch last surveyed the career ladders in 1975. This study was requested by the Plans and Requirements Division, 3700 Technical Training Wing, Sheppard AFB, Texas, to evaluate the usefulness of the 3-skill level shredding of the Financial Services Specialty (AFS 672X2). In addition, the entire classification structure of the Accounting and Finance career field was also evaluated. The present study had two objectives: first, to evaluate whether the military pay and travel pay shreds of the Financial Services specialty (AFS 672X2) should be retained at the 3-skill level or, perhaps, be expanded to include the 5- and 7-skill level as well; and, second, to consider whether the Financial Management specialty (AFS 672X1) should also be restructured in some way.
