A Logistics Source Material System for the Air Force Logistics Management Center.

Abstract

The Logistics Source Materials System is used by the Air Force Logistics Management Center to collect, categorize, store, retrieve, and manage logistics source materials. It is based on the IBM Storage and Information Retrieval System installed on an IBM 4331 computer. The present report describes two data bases constructed from computer tape files produced by the Defense Logistics Studies Information Exchange, Fort Lee, VA, and a data entry program DATENT which was written to facilitate manual entries. An approach to a possible Handbook of Models and Source Data is also presented. (Author)
