Calculation of Legendre Functions on the Cut for Integral Order and Complex Degree by Means of Gauss Continued Fractions

Abstract

A method for calculating the associated Legendre functions for integral order and complex degree is presented. Comparison with special cases indicates precision of at least 25 significant digits is attained.
