Thermal Analysis of Reactivity of Pyrophoric Fuels in a Chemically Secure Environment

Abstract

The conditions under which air and/or moisture sensitive materials can be prepared, purified, and studied for reactivity characteristics are outlined, using the pyrophoric materials Li and Li7 B6 as examples. An experimental arrangement for examining reactivity in flowing gas atmospheres is described.
