Approximations for Expected Values of Normal Order Statistics with an Application to Goodness-of-Fit.

Abstract

This article considers new approximations for expected values of standard normal order statistics, and uses these to give asymptotic theory for the Shapiro-Francia statistic for a test of normality. (Author)
