Attitudes of Male Unrestricted Line (URL) Officers Towards Integration of Women into Their Designators and Towards Women in Combat.
Abstract
Using Rand Survey data, this thesis examines the attitudes of male Unrestricted Line (URL) officers towards, allowing women into their designators and the training and use of women in combat situations. The history of women in the Navy and a general look at the question of women in combat provide a framework for the analysis of the survey results. The possible implications of those attitudes, and the impact they could have on women officers' careers, are also examined. (Author)
