Electrochemistry at the Molecular Level.

Abstract

This report covers work completed at Southhampton only during the period January to October 1983. The work covered is included under three distinct, and to some extent unrelated research effort areas; vis: (a) An exploration of the use of in situ techniques in completing molecular analyses of working electrode-electrolyte systems. This field embraces: X-ray measurements; Raman studies; and Infrared methods; (b) A long term investigation of the properties of microelectrode systems; and (c) A study of the role of molecular entanglements in dictating the properties of polymer solids. In each area considerable progress has been made and we therefore offer as a report a set of abstracts of papers either already published or to appear in the very near future.
