Production of Plasma with Variable, Radial Electric Fields.

Abstract

A device is described suitable for plasma wave experiments requiring relatively large, variable, radial electric fields perpendicular to a static magnetic field. By separately adjusting the potentials of two independent, coaxial discharge plasmas, the authors produced plasmas with a radial electric field E sub r < approximately 5 V/cm. (Author)
