The Orientation Distribution on Nonspherical Aerosol Particles within a Cloud.

Abstract

The orientation distribution function of fibrous and platelet-like aerosol particles was calculated for a general laminar flow by solving the Fokker-Plank equation. It has been found that this function shows mazima and minima, which indicates a preferred orientation. The cases of a point source and a laminar jet are brought out as an example. (Author)
