Conference on Aerospace Transparent Materials and Enclosures Held at Scottsdale, Arizona on 11-14 July 1983

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to make available the technical papers presented at the Fourteenth Conference on Aerospace Transparent Materials and Enclosures. Fifty three technical papers are presented in seven sessions that address transparent material for enclosures, coatings for transparencies; transparency design; bird impact resistance; human factor and optics; operational problems; design criteria on transparent plastics, glasses, and elastomers; aircraft-structural integration of windshields and canopies; compurated design; testing techniques; and cost of ownership reduction. The papers contained herein have been reproduced directly from the original manuscripts.
