Abstract

Combat engineers are a force multiplier when employed with front line units and increase the combat power of the ground commander. The proper employment of combat engineers also enhances the maneuver capability during offensive or defensive combat operations. This essay examines the role of the combat engineer in support of Marine Air Ground Task Forces.
